2016
A small beginning
That Ramadan, two of our founders began exploring how this vision could become a reality. Taraweeh prayers started in one founder’s garage, with just five people gathering to worship. As the congregation steadily grew, it soon became clear that a larger space was needed.
Growth
Finding space to gather
Over the following years, RMC continued to find ways for the community to pray together, including Ramadan prayers at the Docklands Hilton Hotel and later at Dockland Settlements.
Today
Serving the local community
The COVID-19 pandemic brought a temporary pause to communal prayers, but RMC later returned to Dockland Settlements, which has since become the home of our regular Friday prayers and Taraweeh during Ramadan.
Next
A permanent home
Nearly ten years after those first prayers, RMC is now preparing for its next chapter: working towards establishing a permanent masjid and community home in the local area.
What began with five worshippers has grown into a shared community journey. With Allah’s help and the support of the community, our aim is to create a lasting place of prayer, connection and service for generations to come.
